I am loading Hornady 230 gr XTPs for my Glock 36. I started out with the Accurate #7 loading recipe COL of 1.230. Of the first five maggazines filled and loaded, for three of them the first round Failed to load. They jammed against the bottom of the barrel slide with the very bottom edge of the bullet.
I stretched the length to 1.250 and had the same problem and have since stretched it out to 1.270 to the same result.
In testing I have found that if I do not hold tightnwi my little finger on the magazine, I do not have the problem. And, if it fails to load, I tap my little finger on the bottom of the magazine, pulling up, and the round unjams and loads.
Could my magazine retention tab be a little loose as my three current magazines are looser than the magazine on a new 36 I checked out recently.
Anybody else loading XTPs for a Glock 36?
