Florida Trip

I have a Pennsylvania License To Carry Firearms and will be driving from Pennsylvania to Florida. All the states I’ll be driving through honors my LTCF except South Carolina. Any suggestions to legally get through SC with my pistol?

Every time I've driven through SC, the routine has been to stop before you enter the state, and secure your pistol in the trunk. Once you're through the state, stop again and rearm.

Are you going around MD?

Driving thru SC you can store it in your glove box...or other secure container.

SECTION 16-23-20. Unlawful carrying of handgun; exceptions.

It is unlawful for anyone to carry about the person any handgun, whether concealed or not, except as follows, unless otherwise specifically prohibited by law:

{snip}

(9) a person in a vehicle if the handgun is:

(a) secured in a closed glove compartment, closed console, closed trunk, or in a closed container secured by an integral fastener and transported in the luggage compartment of the vehicle; however, this item is not violated if the glove compartment, console, or trunk is opened in the presence of a law enforcement officer for the sole purpose of retrieving a driver's license, registration, or proof of insurance;

Really glad to have my NC permit, which is valid in 37 states, to include basically everywhere except the communist states of California and Oregon, and even most of the Socialist NorthEast (to include NH, VT, PA and DE). NOBODY gets much constitutional support in IL or WI, so those almost don't count as members of the 50 states any more anyway.

We finally have a Republican NC Senate and House, both after having been under Democratic control for 128 years, going back to the days of Reconstruction, when they staged the Wilmington Race Riot of 1898, and took over power in the only successful coup of a seated US government in our American history. With our recent election successes, laws have recently been introduced and are now moving forward to allow concealed carry in restaurants where alcohol is served, as well as in state and local parks. Odd how we are making progress now that our Progressives are under better control! Hope the changes now taking place across the country allow more CCW permitted carriers more of their 2nd Amendment freedoms as well.

How could I forget GA? A great State, in fact we will be spending a few days in St Mary's GA.
Thank you

Going down I95, it won't be hard to tell when you're getting close to the South Carolina state line, you'll be seeing "South of the Border" ads for MILES. Pedro, and a billion half-wit jingle billboards, sombreros, donkeys on billboards.... And when you get to the place, tacky pastels, rides, gift shops...right on the border. I've got a NC permit, recognized in SC, and I wouldn't stop there if I couldn't carry! OBTW, gas prices drop a bunch in SC, if you can wait till you're out of NC for that, Raleigh will be out a buttload of your money for gas taxes!

Go easy on us in Vermont. Anyone who visits can cary whatever they like. We don't require permits in Vermont for open or concealed carry.

That is why Vermont is often shown as not offerning reciprocity, when actually we do.
