Well I found out today from a dot officer in georgia that it IS NOT against the law or illegal for me to carry my gun in my truck with me. He stated that I need to make sure that the states I go through acknowledge my CCW.

I also drive and thought that you couldn't carry in Your truck(was told that by My last company). It's up to to company policy if You can carry( I can't). Found out more here from posts on this forum. You just have to be aware of the laws in the states You drive in on how to carry in the truck.

check with the agency that issued your permit and they can tell you what states you can and WHAT STATES YOU CAN'T CARRYIN .

The no guns in commercial trucks lie has been floating around and around and around.

As noted, there is no federal law restricting CDL drivers from carrying. Abide by the state laws and you're legal.

Now, as to your employer allowing it, YMMV.
