federal Hydrashok 135 grain low recoil

hey guys I just got this ammo for my local gun shop .Anybody used this before ?

I assume you mean the 9mm

It's pretty good ammo.

If recoil is your concern ...

The Federal "Low Recoil" load is the 135gr HSHP. Sold under Federals Personal Defense line. It has almost as much recoil as the 147gr load
Federal 135gr HSHP the low recoil PD round: 6.4 ft/lb at .8 lb/sec
Federal 147gr HSHP: 6.8 ft/lbs at .8 lb/sec
measured in a KelTec P11

If you practice with 115 grain, and need something similar that's lower recoil in a hollowpoint ...
(These go against the "go heavy" theory of penetrating deeper, so if you live where bulky leather coats and layers of clothes are normal, you may need heavy, but in hot weather will easily go through a Tee-Shirt)
