I've looked at the map and there is NO way to get to Vermont from Wisconsin without going either through Canada (a non-starter) or New York.
I want to carry my handguns (I have both Wis and Fla CCW permits) AND my AR-15. Is there some presumed "Right of Innocent Passage" when going from one state to another with firearms? Doesn't Interstate Commerce of some sort protect us if we're residents of another state, have proper ID, have the firearms locked in cases in the truck bed, and can prove we're not staying in NY?
Hope you poor NY guys can help.
Thanks
Bill
