Don't mail it!!!

I went to the Jacksonville location last May. I called for the appointment in April. While I was waiting for the office to open I chatted with a college student that was trying to get in without an appointment. I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes. The student was handing his information and check to the lady at the counter when I was leaving. I have told people I know that were considering getting their CWL to go by the office when they open. Good chance they will squeeze them in without an appointment. I received my license a week later.

I got mine in 1/2012. I didn't even have to make an appointment at the time, just went down to the office and filed everything, and then had it in the mail in a week. I hear that it's a month out to get an appointment now - not sure about the wait time after that for the permit. But I'd always heard it's better to go in person.
