Has anyone ever tried these grips? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0057IOBFU/ref=redir_mdp_mobile

I know the general consensus is use a holster to cover the trigger when drawing, however with the right muscle memory your finger shouldn't be anywhere but straight down when drawing anyway. Thoughts?

I think the greater issue is things coming into contact with the trigger while "holstered" and firing the gun.

I tried a "clip-draw" on a glock for a short time, early in my "carry career". That was before I realized the importance of two things: First, securement of your gun. The clip is NOT secure when compared to almost any holster, both in terms of staying put and also as discussed above, the trigger is not covered. Second, the gun came into contact in a major way with skin. Bad for two reasons. First, it's not as comfy as having leather against your skin. Second, corrosion. That should be an obvious thought.

...Does that make three reasons? Security, comfort and gun finnish protection are the three things a grip clip lacks when compared to a holster. Here's something akin to what I tried: Clipdraw… Combat Handguns Article

Cheers!
