There should be a law against breaking the law.
It should be mandatory time if you break a law while in the commission of breaking the law.

We should require people to get a NICS check before they commit a crime!
Typical government mentality: one person breaks the law, punish those who didn't do it.

And this is why I try to avoid problems in the first place... if you don't get into a fight, then your day is most pleasant.

And to add to the sarcasm, I believe everyone who decides to break the law, should first register with their local authorities to have a permit saying they will break the law sooner or later. This way, the law enforcement personnel can concentrate on those that knowingly will decide to break the law at some point.
