Compact of States

As you're probably aware, your license to drive is valid in all states no matter where issued. Despite Article IV of the Constitution, Sections 1 and 2, it took a compact of states agreed upon by all concerned to actually make that happen. Given Mayor Big Gulp's 'voter initiatives' around the nation (just look at what he fooled Washington state into ratifying) and the contempt for the Constitution shown by our elected hired help in the District of Corruption, Arizona's legislature is working on a similar compact of states to forestall any state level restrictions more stringent that those currently in effect at the national level (which will have to be dealt with at the national level).

Given the makeup of our legislature and the purported leaning of our governor, this bill has a good chance of passage - but wouldn't be 'effective' until at least one other state signed onto it; much in the way the drivers license compact began in Illinois.

If you believe your Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms is at least as important as your (supposed) 'privilege' to drive anywhere in the country, urge your 'hired help' at your state capitol to institute similar legislation, to contact the Arizona legislature and to be among the early signers when it does pass.
