cleaning lint from carry gun in-between cleanings

I just wanted to throw this out there as a tip. I used to use canned air or an air compressor to clean lint out of my carry piece. One day I realized that not only is canned air expensive but it is blowing lint and dust deeper into my firearm. Now I like to use my vaccum cleaner hose attachment to suck lint and dust out of the gun (Mainly around the hammer and the muzzle). I try to do this every other day. since I've been doing this my monthly cleanings revealed that virtually no lint or dust inside the slide or anywhere else. Also make sure to remove the round in the chamber before trying this, while it is unlikely that it will go off, it is better to be safe than sorry.

I am sure "she who must be obeyed" would make some sort of sarcastic remark about me vacuuming my gun & nothing else. :lol:
