armor all on polymer lcr frame??

i am getting a set of Pachmayr grips for my ruger lcr 9mm and they recommend to use armor all for occasional wipe down to protect them. i called ruger and they don't know, armor all said it should be fine as did Pachmayr, but i wanted to ask to see if anyone has used it on a grip of a lcr and if it would be ok if it accidentally from time to time got under the grip and was on the polymer frame? i don't want to take my grip off every time i clean it, i only take my grip off every 6 months or so to oil the main spring and put oil on the pivit pin. thanks for any help

My experience with Armor All is that it makes everything slippery. Sounds like a bad idea.

That is the first thing that came to mind when I read the OP. I don't think I would be using Armor All on my grips.

Maybe Pachmayr's grips are made from recycled tires. The recommendation might make sense in that case. LOL
