I like any caliber of the Federal HST bullets. For the 9mm I prefer the 147 grain and 230 grain for the 45 acp.

Range ammo American Eagle 115 grain fmj. For SD Barnes tac-XPD 115 grain +P But I am comfortable with Speer gold dot, or Hornady critical defense - and some others that don't immediately come to mind.

whatever is the cheapest is what I use on the range, for SD I use corbon, ranger T and winchester pdx1

MAC ammo in my Kahr MK40 most accurate I have found, also use it in my 1911 and bersa thunder.

Since I carry a .40, I guess I have to say my favorite is a .40. Not sure I would use the essence of favoritism other than practicality. I'm not going to load 9mm's in it.

With that said, I choose Speer Gold Dot JHP in 180 gr for it. Reason: I did my research, I took into account cost per round, and quality from this manufacturer. For those interested in the ballistics of this round, here it is:

For CC I like old-school Federal Hydra Shoks, Speer Gold Dots, or Hornady CD depending on the firearm.

Just bought a Ruger LC-9 and have been curious as to what others run through that particular pistol. I am going to the range this weekend and would like to know what works well. Anyone help?
