Chris Kyle Reported to Have Been Killed

I too am extremely curious as to how it all happened, Indeed it is unfortunate that two lives were lost while thinking they were helping a fellow brother in need. I just have trouble in beliveing that Kyle let his guard down and was caught off guard in this situation. With his level of combat training and what he has been through I would have thought totally opposite. I have been to all the local ranges one time or another for the past year in my area and never have I been alone while shooting. I'm just stunned the shooter wasn't stopped before he left the range. My thoughts to his family and friends.....

I feel when you are around someone you know and you feel they are the same as you. You don't ever think they would just up and kill you. Many times I am at both my indoor and outdoor range, and there a lot of people I don't know. But I feel they are fellow shooters so I don't spend a lot of time being on high alert. Now when I am in the local Walmart parking lot, or at my Bank I am watching people a lot. and am very untrusting of everyone. Guess I am going to have to rethink a lot of things now. Not something that makes me feel good.

Many times at my outdoor range the range master of his helpers are not seen for hours. Everyone is just way out in the ranges on their own. So I can see someone not knowing anything for hours at the range.

This really ruins my Super Bowl week end.
 
I venture to say that the taliban had a bounty on his head. He was hated over in the sandbox by them. Either way I am sad that a true Hero that saved many American lifes was killed.
 
He had no reason to suspect the killer, if he had a reason he probably would not have been there with him. You can never be sure what anyone has in there heart, luv or murder. Whatever the reason, this guy probably had it planned in his mind.
No way Chris could have stopped him. The guy seems normal then he simply points and shoots Chris and the other guy.
Takes only seconds.

An old trick, get someone's confidence then when they are at ease with you, kill them. It is done all the time.

Yes, but when there are a significant number of exceptions, the validity of the "rule" becomes questionable.

Gun free zones prevent law abiding people from legally having the means to defend themselves, but the derranged go where their victims are located, regtardless of the gun-free status of the location.

The media is already all over this and blaming American Veterans. They're going to start talking about stricter gun control for Veterans. Watch....
 
We lost a truly outstanding American Hero, my thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones.

I would hope they don't turn his death into a political/media circus, but then clowns run both of those, so I don't hold out much faith in them showing him the respect.

Sad that at work, everyone could recite damn near word for word, every Superbowl commercial, but none had any clue as to his death or legacy.

I read where a veteran called the veteran suicide hot line for help. He was asked if he owned any firearms and he answered yes. after he had finished talking with the person who answered his call and he hung up. He got a knock at his door and a local cop with a signed warrant came inside and took all his firearms away. Seems the Veterans Adm. has this policy of informing your local cops if they get a call on their suicide hot line. I am not implying any thought's of mine about this policy, just informing people of what I read.

So if they say the sky is the color purple I bet you would believe it. Internet forums are some of worst places for reliable information. The name calling certainly bodes well for your credibility. ..or lack thereof.

Oh come on. You sound belligerent. If it doesn't matter then why post? I look for facts not assumptions or beliefs. This man was a hero and this nut who was conditioned to kill gunned him down in cold goddam blood. Your baseless rants are a disgrace.
