No Longer a Virgin

I have had my CCW for about a week but have not been able to carry due to work policies. This last Saturday I broke the ice. Went to 4 gun shops for a better holster then to dinner. Then went for the Wally Walk. I was nervous at first then relaxed the longer I was out and about. The only incident I had was when a couple of biker dudes made me at Wally World. I moved away from them but they followed a little too close. I finally stopped and asked if I could help them. They said no, grabbed something off the shelf and said found it and walked away.
I think they were just seeing what I would do.

Now that I have carried, I will be carrying when and where it's legal.

If they can take it away from you, then it is theirs, and you are just carrying it for them.

Good move. You played your part well, keeping your distance, and forcing the confrontation on your own terms while you could still draw and shoot. Keep that in mind, you may have to do it again, if you do not look fierce and convincing to begin with.

Your first clue will always be when two such thugs look at each other. That is their poker tell that they are getting ready to try some scheme. Of course, following you around is a dead giveaway as well.

Because he might have just been nervous and assumed stuff . I used to wonder what people thought or cared . It takes time to get over

The first time you carry, YOU know and you think everyone is looking at you. But they don't know, so the more often you carry you begin to fully realize that you are the only one who really knows. You'll become more comfortable and then at some point not feel self-aware but hopefully have a greater level of situational awareness.

Thumbs up for this post! Well spoken and true!
