Moving to Texas

I was going through Texas CCW laws and you need to be a resident for 6 months before you can apply for their permit. I currently have a CCW from my current state and it's accepted in Texas. Now will my permit be null & void when I become a resident? Or can I use it until I'm eligible for Texas permit? I can't find in their laws.

Depends on the state you are coming from. It should be good for as long as your previous state acknowledges that it is valid.

Does the state you are moving from cancel your CCW as soon as you are no longer a resident, or do they allow you to keep it even though you are no longer a resident?
