I'm kinda pulling this from another thread to cover bases.

What have you gotten better results with in terms of accuracy? Preferably coming out of a 16in barrel. It can be using .223 as well, I'm not picky.

Also, what brands gave the best results in those grains for you?

Thank you for the input, and sry if this is a repost.

I use a 1:7 (not sure what brand) and xm193 for play with nickel sized groups. For serious I use Sillman 68hr BTHP and get nickel to dime size groups at 25, 50, 100m.

you need to buy a box of each and see what shoots better in YOUR gun. can take two guns off the line next to each other and one may like different ammo. sounds funny but it happens.

I have guns with 1/7 and 1/9 and mostly shoot XM193. These aren't varmint rifles shooting match grade ammo, they're service grade carbines shooting service grade ammunition................ so accuracy is subjective. M193 is 2 moa ammo.

For my 1in6 20 inch barrel 75gr BTHP using a sling is good for 5 inch group at 600 yards. 55gr was to inconsistent at that range. Haven't tested 62 gr.
