I have a valid license, went to Rural King to purchase a new firearm. Was told i had to submit a background check as store policy. Anyone else run into this. I though I was exempt as a valid Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons License holder. I have purchased many firearms and there was never any issue, just check the box and walk out with the firearm. P.S. I will not be doing business with them now.

As of Nov 1 that will be true for OK as well if the permit is less than 5 years old. You still have to fill out the 4473, but the FFL doesn't need to call it in.
