Yes, they do check juvenile records and you better answer "Yes" otherwise you'll get denied. They won't deny you if you answer "Yes" and it was 30 years ago. I got a municipal ordinance ticket for shoplifting (not retail theft) in Madison, WI (grew up there, moved to IL when I was 18) and they found that. I answered "Yes" to the moral turpitude question and noted that it was a city ordinance citation and received as a juvenile. I also had to answer "Yes" for the alcohol-related offenses question because I got a DUI a little less than ten years ago, but Utah just changed its rule for DUIs to line up with all other Class A misdemeanors...down from 6 years to 5 years.
