Recent studies indicate that people with carry permits are more law abiding than the average citizen. That comes as no surprise to me. We go though the training and background checks to be able to carry firearms. In contrast, criminals will simply tuck a gun in a pocket or waistband and use it to knock off a store or some innocent person walking down the street. A concealed carry permit violation doesn't mean a thing to a thug committing armed robbery, assault and murder.
I firmly believe that law abiding armed citizens have a role in maintaining a peaceful society.
