    teach me about scopes

One thing not mentioned that's more important than the little name on the scope is the quality of the scope rings and base. Since it's a Remington 700 you'll most likely need a base unless you go with the Leupold-type rings. If you're only shooting within 100-200 yards, you won't need a...

    NRA Members???

"The NRA supported The National Firearms Act of 1934 which taxes and requires registration of such firearms as machine guns, sawed-off rifles and sawed-off shotguns. ... NRA support of Federal gun legislation did not stop with the earlier Dodd bills. It currently backs several Senate and House...

    Reload

If I was to build a press, I'd probably build something that feeds in a straight line like a Camdex or an Link Removed. I imagine getting the timing of that would be a lot easier than trying to time something that's rotary, but that's just my personal opinion.

Link Removed Did you all forget this that just happened a couple weeks ago? Those pushing for control are exempt from the very laws they're pushing to increase.

    Bolt-Action Gun Building

Here's what I did - Buy a used Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 that had maybe 20 rounds through it - it was pristine. It's already extremely accurate as is, but it went from .80-1 MOA to .30-.50 MOA just with a couple mods. I like the 20" barrel on it, but I've been considering cutting it down...

Being adamant about not providing info. when asked

    HOME! Home on the range.

Suggestions on targets? Do you actually have the steel or do you need entire setups? I wouldn't really recommend trying to cut AR500 steel yourself - the most accessible way you'll probably have to cut it is to use a plasma torch and (skipping the metallurgy lessons..) will soften the edges, not...

    I just don't get it....

I mean yeah, I've seen them.. but again they're just not my cup of tea. Neither is OD green, FDE or whatever name you want to call tan today on an AR either. I prefer mine black. I can admire them and respect them, and hell think some are just gorgeous, but I don't live anywhere near a desert or...

    Training Weapons

When I carried a Glock 22 daily, I used a KSC G17 Gas Blow-Back (Link Removed) for training. It was great because we set up targets in the office to train tactics, such as entry\team entry, hostage situations, multiple targets, force on force (inside) etc.. things you can't do with live ammo or...

    M1A scope options

I second a scope from either Millet or SWFA. I own a Millet Gold Buck 3-9x Duplex that I had on a Remington 700 SPS Tactical, then went to a Mini 14 and now sits idle. It's pretty clear, and cost about $100. Up from that is the Millet TRS-1 which now sits on the Remington. It cost me about $300...
