First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you Patriots. I have a Winchester Defender 1300 W/ pistol grips for home defense, I question whether or not this is to much fire power for inside the home? It is loaded with deer slugs and 00 buck. Would I be better off with another hand gun in its place?

I have a 380 Colt 1911 military model. My question is this, is this a good defensive weapon to carry or should I consider something else?
