You could become a felon under Obamacare

Folks, this is healthcare Canada-style. Did you know that a Canadian can not pay for a human's MRI out of pocket, but they CAN pay for their pet's MRI out of pocket. That statement is absolutely true...and it's insane. We don't want Obamacare in the USA. Make your voice be heard...call your Senator, write your Senator, e-mail your Senator. Keep letting your wishes be known...often...until the message finally gets through. If we ALL don't become proactive about "socialized medicine", Obama, Pelosi and Reid will win and we absolutely can NOT let that happen.

Exercise Choice…Go To Jail
By Bob Beers Thursday, November 12, 2009

It used to be, back when the medical profession was more blue collar than boardroom, a patient could pay for whatever service they needed out of pocket…or out of produce, if money was short. After all, doctors needed to eat as much as their patients did. Now, according to the commissars in Washington, if you try to pay for a doctor’s visit out of your own pocket you have committed a felony. That’s right, under Obamacare, exercise choice…go to jail.

That’s right. Under~the health care bill now being considered in the Senate Finance Committee, Americans who fail to pay a penalty for not buying insurance could be charged up to $25,000 by the Internal Revenue Service or face up to a year in jail. Congressional analysts have gone over the bill more times than Henry Waxman is comfortable with and that fact remains. No wonder Harry Reid has adamantly refused to allow posting of the final legislation before a vote.

This link,Link Removed, leads to a story by the only news network in the US willing to expose Obama’s dirty underwear, Fox. In it is revealed some details about the Baucus Bill which mandates that Americans would have a choice of purchasing an “approved” healthcare plan or eventually wind up in jail. As I told you before, in a handwritten note to Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev. from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold, Barthold said violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty. Choosing to use your own money to pay for medical care is not allowed under this bill. Having a Cadillac plan that rivals that given to members of Congress and the Senate is also considered a no-no. They are royalty and you are peasants; don’t you get it yet? Only those plans that fit the socialist agenda of a ruling class overseeing the lives of the underclass will be allowed to go on to the menu. 66% of the American economy is under siege.

I find a few things rather short sighted in the Baucus bill. For example, how many prisons are they going to have to build, especially since they are busy releasing thousands of prisoners early to avoid overcrowding? Imagine the exercise yard conversation,

“What are you in for?”

“Murder. You?”

“Paying my doctor out of pocket.”

“Ewww!”

Of course, this could all be yet another part of the Obama plan to create a dynasty with him at its head. Consider this, a felon can no longer vote in most states. Those of us stubborn enough to refuse to allow the Democrats to run our lives could very easily have our right to choose a real conservative as the next president taken away. Sure, the Senate has refused the public option, but have they really? With enough conservatives in jail the country is theirs. So what if every poll shows a strong majority disagree with this move, Obama wants it and that is enough for the mainstream media.

Well according to the Obamanation I am already a right wing terrorist so I guess a felon would be about right.

Under Medicare right now, if you pay cash for something, you lose your benefits forever.

I did not know that, Wolfling. :fie: I am celebrating my 62nd birthday today...not quite old enough for Medicare yet. DH and I are very, very happy with the health insurance that we currently have. Obamacare would make our retirement less affordable and our healthcare more costly. And, the thing that really infuriates me is that the American people are not being given a vote or a voice in the healthcare reform. Congress doesn't WANT to hear our voice. It's a power grab. I'm hoping and praying that all of the pro-healthcare reform and pro-cap & tax congressmen/women lose their jobs in 2010.

Here is a little story for you that probably displays what to expect if the government takes over health care.

My step dad is in his 50's and is a diabetic. He has had some health problems as of late and had spent most of his time in bed. As he was starting to feel better be got a bad infection in his foot and because of poor kidney's / diabetes he was not able to fight it off. So the doctors had no choice but to amputate several toes and part of his foot hoping to catch it before it spread into his leg. He started healing well and start rehab but long story short they were not able to get all the infection, it came back, and they had to amputate his leg just below the knee. He's healing up and doing much better now but here is the kicker.....

My mom is in full time ministry working with juvenile prisons doing bible studies, activities, ect with the kids. So with my step dad out of work because of his health problems they have Medicaid (I believe. I’ll check tonight and verify its not Medicare). Well, he's doing better now and I think wanting to start rehabbing so he could get up and moving around again. Well, the insurance came back and said he had already used up all his rehab days and they would not cover for any more. The best they could do was put him up in a nursing home.

Even through all this my mom think this is just a taste of what it'll be like under obamacare.

Our only real hope is that it fails miserably in the Senate and there is some speculation that it will do so. If we can hold it off long enough for the 2010 elections maybe we have a chance.

That is absolutely inhuman, Kimber. We all know how well the government has run the USPS, Social Security and Medicare...all three are nearly broke. What makes the Obamaites think that the government will handle their healthcare any better? It's going to be a bureaucratic nightmare, full of waste and fraud, just like all of the other government run programs. God bless us and God save the USA.

Have you noticed that a woman will only admit her age when she's incognito?

Obviously that's not true...you've admitted yours and you're not in cognito . . . you're in Virginia!! It says so!

Anyway, Happy Birthday. I'm catching up...I'll be 62 in March. I keep thinking, "Where the hell have I been all my life?" I'm reminded of the snail that was mugged by two turtles. When the Police showed up and asked 'What happened?', the snail replied, "I don't know! It all happened so fast!!"

Happy birthday. I celebrated number 60 last month. It was replete with all the typical gag gifts.

Thanks, Ektarr, for giving me another reason to laugh on my birthday. Very clever: "not IN cognito...you're IN
Virginia".

I agree with the snail -- "It all happened so fast!!" BTW...62 really isn't that old -- when you get there! LOL

Oh, yes...the gag gifts. Belated Happy Birthday to you, HK4U. We're not getting OLD -- we're just getting older, like everyone else.

It seems just like the other day I celebrated my 50th and perhaps a couple weeks back number 40. Time does have a way of accelerating the older you get. I will not complain to much about another birthday though. It beats the alternative.

Do you have a link to where it states that.. I find that really hard to believe. I really need to see that in writing.. Or is it just another rumor...

That is according to my father who is on medicare and had consulted a lawyer about some treatment he was trying to get. I have no other verification. I will look tomorrow.
