Say there was not a Constitution,The gov.makes a law to allow open or cancealed carry in public,I own a store and put up a sign,NO GUNS ALLOWED,you come in carring, are you breaking the law,or am I?To me if you own a store and you put up a no guns sign you are breakin the law,by going against the Constitution !

I'm not sure whether I should even acknowledge you or this question. You start with "say there was no constitution" and then end with "by going against the constitution". It's a poorly thought out post that IMHO was posted for trolling purposes.

This is sort of how it works in Great Britain, where other is no written constitution. Hypothetically speaking, private property owners could still ban carriers, if there is a previously existing law protecting private property rights.

sorrie Trout, just seen your from WV,I though I had it broke up enough!

It appears you misunderstood what the Constitution limits. It doesn't grant us rights. It doesn't limit the People. It regulates the GOVERNMENT. It limits the GOVERNMENT.

If I open the store, it's my private property, my rules. I am not the government, don't tread on me.

The only thing broke is your understanding o English 101. I've got my MBA and your snide remarks about WV prove your less than intelligent. Your grasp of the written English language is the equivalent of my 7 year old.

His intelligence is really shining through out the boards.

You don't to hate on me because I tell the truth. The OP by itsb made zero sense. He just wanted to post because he watches all day to see if somebody is going to follow his posts. He cares little about furthering meaningful discussion that's on point.

An owner is not going against the constitution when he requires you disarm before entering his store. The store is not a public place. It is private property subject to restrictions imposed by the owner. Most people think the second amendment provides the right to bear arms anywhere. That is not so. The second amendment is to prevent the government from infringing. You do not have those rights on private property as the constitution is between you and the government, not you and everyone else. Before you can argue the right to carry on private property you must win the argument of whether you're allowed to be there at all... let alone be there armed. Next consider castle doctrine in all of this. As a property owner I reserve the right to be secure in persons and possessions on my own property. I may use force to facilitate the removal of any person I don't wish to be on premises. You also have no first amendment rights on private property. For example, you may not enter someone's private place of business (such as a mall) and begin a lecture on politics. You will be asked to leave. If you refuse you will be arrested for trespass.

My answer's "NO". Although I'm not sure of the question. I assume it was meant to be written in English.

Laws outline what PEOPLE may do. Sometimes laws covering various areas (property rights vs public good, for instance) conflict. Constitutions outline what GOVERNMENTS may - or may not - do. Courts may decide whether laws infringe on the constitution. Generally, people/corporations do not directly violate the Constitution, they may violate a law based upon the constitution.
