Yahoo has dabbled with this in the past, but today's offering is one of the best reasons why I have been staying away. Two articles published today blatantly attack our Second Amendment rights.

The first was a Business Week article in which Justice Stevens declares the need to amend the Second Amendment by adding 5 words: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed." He is of the opinion that,

“federal judges uniformly understood that the right protected by the text was limited in two ways: first, it applied only to keeping and bearing arms for military purposes, and second, while it limited the power of the federal government, it did not impose any limit whatsoever on the power of states or local governments to regulate the ownership or use of firearms.” http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-02-20/gun-control-and-the-constitution-should-we-amend-the-second-amendment

The second article was an article from The Week magazine with the title, "Ban the Second Amendment." The author uses the usual 32,000 deaths number as a jumping off point, and then makes the statement, "There is no longer any defensible argument for a constitutional right to own a firearm, if there ever was." Th article is filled with logical problems, one of the worst being that we are a "liberal democracy" in which the majority decide how things should be run. But as Thomas Jefferson observed, “We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” We are not now, nor were we ever intended to be, a liberal democracy. We were meant to be a Constitutional Republic.

And then there is the third article from Bloomberg that lampoons concerns that if illegals are legitimized, gun control will be all but certain, because there will be 8,000,000 new hispanic voters that will back it just like they have done in California - which used to be a red state, once upon a time, If Guns Are Illegal, Only Illegal Immigrants Will Have Guns - Bloomberg.

I am pretty much finished with Yahoo.

I don`t use Yahoo and never will. I don`t really give a damn what they or any of the other liberal douchebags think about the second amendment. Whats happening in the Ukraine right now is a good example of what would happen here if they were ever dumb enough to try and ban or revoke the second amendment.

These liberals are to friggin stupid to realize that the second amendment is what keeps the peace in the streets for the most part. These are the people that would let them self`s be beaten, robbed, and killed (LOL), and then call the cops after this happened. Friggin dumb ass liberal thinking. I will keep my guns, my ammo, and my freedom, and they can keep the change.

I'm not seeing where Yahoo comes in?

Yahoo is basically a clearinghouse for the news it posts on its site, but they determine which articles get posted. So while they may not necessarily be the ones actually writing these reports, they have clearly determined that the reports they post from other outlets will be "progressively" oriented. You will be hard pressed to find a single posted report on Yahoo! that evidences the conservative viewpoint.

Personally I appreciate that Yahoo posted the news article. It keeps me informed of those tyrannical forces within our country who would attempt to infringe on our RKBA. I do not see Yahoo as being liberal. I do however believe that most of the major news organizations have a liberal anti-gun bias, which results in the rather lopsided number of anti-gun news articles.

How is this different from any news outlet. Name any of them, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, FOX, Google....... They all have an agenda and they all report the news that fits that agenda. They don't all write their own stories and some may be more balanced then others but they stick to there agenda.

If your going to boycott Yahoo then surely you will be boycotting the NFL, Facebook, and pretty much all social media sites since they have a history of taking more direct anti 2A actions.
