XDs anyone

Has anyone on here given the new Springfield XDs the sniff test yet. I am very interested them, but wanted to know if anyone has shot one yet or held one at their gun shop yet. Currently carry a Glock 26 and trying to see if it would be worth making the switch.

I don't know if it was the latest generation but a few months ago, when I was trying to decide on my first handgun purchase, I shot both the Glock 19 Gen 4 and a Springfield XD(M) 9mm. They both felt comfortable to me and I really didn't notice much of a different in comfort level. It should be said that I'm a fairly new handgun shooter and haven't necessarily developed a feel for any one handgun style yet so maybe that's why I didn't notice much of a difference between the two.

They were both nice guns but I chose to go with the Glock (partly because of a bit lower price and partly because of the availability of accessories) however I don't feel like I could have gone wrong either way.

It's a personal preference thing. I've had an xd since they were released 5 years ago never had a problem. The hand grip safety is nice if your into it

I love my XD (.45)...(pre-XDM) Also can't wait to handle that new XDS!

I'm curious about the XD-s also, but I think I'd rather see it in 9mm than .45. Seems like that's a lot of lead to throw from such a little pistol. I'll wait....for now.

Had xd and G27 needed cash sold the xd. But it is a very very nice gun I would buy another I'm js a Glock guy

I bought the xd9 about 6 years ago and have had it since and like it a lot. Like it so much that I recently bought the xdm 45 3.8...It is very comfortable in the hand. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I am planning on going to the range within the next few days. If it shoots anything like my xd9 then I am sure I am going to be a happy shooter.

Just to clarify, you are asking specifically about the XD-s (.45 micro xd) correct?

Not about xd's as a whole.

Bought the XD 40. Liked it so much bought a XD 45. Don't you know they come out with the XD s. Handled one, ordered one.

Correct. Asking about the new XDs 45 ACP that just came out.

Specs show it about 1/2 smaller in height and length and .150 thinner but with half the mag capacity I'd go with something 10% larger.

I have the XD 9mm. I absolutely love it. Spoke to a friend yesterday and he has the XDM .40 and .45. I was really, really surprised to hear that he has many Kimber handguns but prefers SA.
