This passed through a dozen people before it got to me, I don't know who its about, or IF its true, but it made me wonder. (I'll add a name just to simplify)
So Bob has a WW2 fully auto machine gun. He's had it for almost 10 years. It was never registered and he needs money so he's trying to sell it. The problem is the few people with enough money to buy it don't want an illegal gun. As far back as he can check ( about 3 owners and 20 years) it was never stolen. But the question is can he or someone else make it legal by registering it as a machine gun?
Now that I've set off about 10k alarms at the ATF, does anybody know if someone say, finds an old full auto in grandpa's Attic from WW2 can get it registered or made legal somehow? Or are the only options to keep it hid or have it destroyed? I live in TN and around town is where I heard it, if that helps.
P.S. I hate gun registration of any kind!
