The evidence was released, just too late for the defense to prepare it for presentation, and a likely violation of law and ethics by the prosecution.

Many of the talking heads in the black communities are glossing over the fact that although Martin had every right to be where he was, so did Zimmerman. There is no evidence that Zimmerman did anything with his firearm other than draw it to protect his life. Martin's assault of Zimmerman is what caused Martin's demise.

First Casey Anthony's daughter, and now Trayvon Martin. That now makes two children who have been failed by the justice system in the state of Florida in less than two years.

As I recall, there wasn't any evidence that Caylee Anthony was unlawfully beating up Casey Anthony.

I don't see Trayvon as a child either........young man possible but not a child. Justice was served FINALLY. Although it's a shame that a group of people can force a criminal trial on anyone in this country. GZ needs to sue for unlawful prosecution being a Grand Jury was never convened but a trial ordered by a political minion. Talk about violating someone's Civil Rights.......

Are you going to reference that quote?

Justice for Zimmerman!

Now if you will excuse me im off to the grocery for skittles and tea :p

First, let me say I'm just as guilty of this as everyone els. But it seems to me that there's a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking with regard to the Zimmerman trial. I'm 99.9%sure that the vast majority of people who are so upset about this verdict didn't watch much if any of the trial. They didn't listen to the testimony. They didn't see the evidence. They didn't did discuss it with their peers who also watched all the testimony and saw all the evidence.

The general public have decided that Zimmerman is guilty and/or Trayvon was innocent or vice-versa. And most of them did this within days of the shooting.

As for me, I'll trust in the judgement of that jury of Zimmermann's peers. Whether or not they made the wrong decision, their decision has the force of law.

I disagreed with the OJ verdict but I accepted it. That's the way the system works.

Not at all. But injustice is still injustice regardless.

Not sure where you get your information, but obviously your perception of what happened is different than the truth. Zimmerman is the victim of wrongful prosecution, political persecution, and slander by the media.

Caylee Anthony was an innocent victim. Martin was a punk criminal that screwed up. The injustice is you putting them in the same category.

Your version of events, just because it matches the jury's, doesn't make it the "truth." The only "truth" is that Martin and Zimmerman are the only two who really know what happened, and because Martin is dead, we got only one side of the story, point blank period.

So for you to believe that Zimmerman did the right thing, what would it take? Zimmerman's funeral and Trayvon Martin's murder trial? I can't stand everyone saying "Zimmerman's injuries weren't consistent with a life or death situation..." Well no crap! If they were, he would have most likely been too incapacitated to defend his life. How long is someone supposed to take a beating before they can legally defend themselves?

And I never did hear if TM had any injuries (other than the bullet wound of course) indicating that GZ hit him at all. Anybody know?

And how else should Trayvon have responded to being followed in the darkness by a stranger whose intentions he wasn't able to ascertain?

What would it take for me to believe Zimmerman did the right thing? Well gee, that's a loaded question! I saw the proceedings and came to my own conclusion, just as I'm sure you saw them and came to your own. Based on the testimony I saw, George Zimmerman was wrong and the jury got this wrong.

Hang up with the girl and call the cops as GZ did for one. And as I asked before, I never did hear if TM had any injuries on his face or body indicating that GZ hit him at all.

That's hilarious. Everyone is wrong, but you. Evidently you watched the wrong court case.

If you actually watched the trial, you'd know that it was about the biggest circus and so skewed against Zimmerman it wasn't even funny. My Criminal Justice professor even jokingly commented "I didn't know the judge was allowed to take sides." That judge created so much reversible error during the trial, it wouldn't have mattered if they did get a guilty verdict, he could have easily gotten it reversed on appeal.

No, everyone seems to think that it's impossible that George Zimmerman could be guilty, and because I have dared to challenge that, you believe that I believe that I can do no wrong. I have my position, you guys have yours. Respect mine and I'll respect yours.

They got his own college professor to testify against him by talking about how familiar Zimmerman was with Florida's stand your ground law. Since when is being familiar with the law a crime? The judge persistently tried to persuade Zimmerman to take the stand, which would have made him a witness against himself, all while his attorney is steadily objecting her wishes. Since when is the judge supposed to provide the defendant with legal counsel? That's just a small bit of what I saw that I thought was a joke.
