Wolf Ammo Spark Flares?

Is it me or does everybody else think I'm crazy? I bought some wolf ammo 7.62x39 to be exact and yes I know this is not the greatest ammo. Anyways when I was shooting this ammo#1 the muzzle flash was ridiculously bright and #2 mid way down range you'll see several sparks flare up. (I had about 100 rounds and not all of them sparked up) Now I went to the place where I purchased said ammo, told them this and was laughed out of the store. I even told them that 2 other people noticed it as well and still got laughed at. Anyone else out there seen or heard of this?

I have fired thousands of wolf in that caliber, never noticed it if it were there. Not sure man, I don't think your crazy.

I've fired approximately 1.3 gazillion rounds of Wolf. The only time I get an extraordinary muzzle flash is when I'm shooting a short-barreled Draco, but that's to be expected. Nothing out of the ordinary with my other AKs.

Maybe you got the "Dragon's Breath" rounds!

Interesting you should mention this. I noticed that same sparking phenomenon recently with pistol ammo, but it wasn't limited to any particular brand. I definitely saw it with 9x19mm (both Winchester and Federal FMJ) fired from a Ruger P95DC. I may have also seen it with Federal .38 Special FMJ fired from a Ruger GP100.

It looked sort of similar to tracer rounds I'd used back in the Army, but not nearly as bright nor consistent. I'm wondering if they're using a copper alloy or something for jacketing, that sparks and glows on its way out the barrel.

That happens sometimes it's nothing to be really concerned about. But I wouldn't buy ammo from a place that would alight at you when you bring up a concern of yours or when asking a question. That is pretty disrespectful especially coming from people who are running a business.

I agree with invisible. I've never had that problem at any of my gun shops. I think your best bet is try a different ammo and gun shop. Wow I hate ignorant people that won't even give you a pleasant store experience.

Ohh I know he wont be getting any more of my money. I gave him a piece of my mind as I was leaving. I wont go into detail but it ended with me calling him a piece ****** for treating me that way. I dont care who you are you dont treat someone that way expescially a customer.

I've run many different makes of .45ACP thru my 1911s. Never seen the sparking but some rounds sure do light up the place when leaving the barrel. Go shooting in a darkened indoor range or outdoors at twilight and you'll really notice it. The only Wolf ammo I have is for the Mosin Nagant.
