Wisconsin-Minnesota reciprocity...

One of the main reasons I got the CCW permit in Wisconsin was to carry on my commute to work. I live in Wisconsin, but work in Minnesota in a not so friendly neighborhood in Minneapolis. So, am I correct that Minnesota does NOT recognize Wisconsin permits? (Even though Wisconsin recognizes MN which is messed up i.m.o) If this is true, is my best bet to apply for a Minnesota out of state CCW permit or is there another state that I can apply to that would be a better option. I know as a Wisconsin resident I need the Wisconsin permit to carry in Wisconsin. I'm a newbie to the forum so my apologies if I posted wrong spot, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Go here. Click on the link, then on your state, and it will give you a nice easy to read map.

I think that the reason there are lots of states that don't offer reciprocity is simply because your concealed carry laws are so recent. I know that doesn't do you any good right now, but I think that in time your permit will be honored in more places.

Permit Honored:
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin

Permit Not Honored:
Alabama, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, District of Columbia

Right Denied:
Illinois, American Samoa, N. Mariana Islands

Go to the Concealed Carry Maps and choose which state works best for you. I have WA, AZ and UT permits. MN recognizes UT.
