Don't want to step on anyone's toes but I don't feel a hunter safety card or military id card is adequate training. Sure, I'm aware that military personnel who have been in a combat zone understand the reponsibility of carrying a loaded firearm. Unfortunately, many military folks are not well trained in the skills and legalities of civilian concealed carry.
A good CCW training should include coverage of when it is legal to use your gun and when you should walk away from a confrontation among many other specific instances. None of these are covered in a hunter safety course that I've encountered.
