Will wisconsin bend to 4 hours of training?

Now that the A.G. of wisconsin has come out " almost 15 days before the ccw law takes affect" do you think the 4 hour training will stand, let alone whos trainning as well?

Don't want to step on anyone's toes but I don't feel a hunter safety card or military id card is adequate training. Sure, I'm aware that military personnel who have been in a combat zone understand the reponsibility of carrying a loaded firearm. Unfortunately, many military folks are not well trained in the skills and legalities of civilian concealed carry.
A good CCW training should include coverage of when it is legal to use your gun and when you should walk away from a confrontation among many other specific instances. None of these are covered in a hunter safety course that I've encountered.

Being a strong believer in "Constitution Carry" I also believe that it is the gun owner's responsibility to become properly trained. Sadly, far too many people fail to fulfill this responsibility and don't receive the proper training. This often results in injury or unnecessary encounters with LE. With that said, I feel that a 4 hour training class would be a good start for the state of WI, considering that CC will be new for citizens and LEO. The minimum training will be an opportunity for WI residents to learn what's legal and what's not, which should minimize unnecessary encounters with LE. The training will also ensure that applicants have been given some "MINIMAL" knowledge on the law and how to avoid the need to use "lethal force" whenever possible.

As for training, I feel that "hunter safety" or "military training" would be good for the "firearms safety" aspect of CC, however a specific class would be needed to teach the "legal" aspects of when "lethal force" can be used for self defense.
