WI Gander Mountain

I just wanted to make it known that the NRA-ILA had grassroots meetings scheduled for this week at multiple WI Gander Mountains but due to bullying and threats from anti-gunners they backed out. Thankfully they were quickly rescheduled and we can still show up to show our support for our pro second amendment governor Scott Walker but I urge you not to support Gander Mountain.

Odd. Any Gander I've been to in WI has always been pro-gun. Oc or cc have never been frowned on. In fact, there are signs that welcome both forms of carry. As for Scott Walker support, i respectfully say...dream on.

This is true, I live in Wisconsin and got an E-mail from the NRA that the meetings for Monday and Tuesday had to be changed because Gander Mountain canceled on Sunday. The meeting I went to was changed from Gander Mountain in Wausau to Cimino's gun shop in Merrill. The NRA representatives stated that they had found out that Gander Mountain had known for a couple of weeks that they would cancel but waited until Sunday to notify the NRA. At the meeting several people came in late, as they had gone to Gander Mountain and found out the meeting had been canceled, they were not happy. Gander Mountain caved into calls and E-mails from the anti-gunners.

Go ahead and support the anti-gun Barrett if you must. Barrett is a member of "Mayors against guns" and is about as anti-gun as one can be. Walker got Wisconsin the CC and Castle doctrine that Governor Doyle had vetoed and Barrett is vehemently against. Barrett will overturn any pro gun laws he can if elected.

True, Barrett is a member of Mayors Against ILLEGAL Guns and voted against dropping purchase waiting periods from 3 days to 1, but to be honest...i dont see him re-writing the wi constitution for his own beliefs. Obama is also "anti gun" but so far he has not gone after gun owners in a threatening way.

Gander doesn't care if you boycott them or not. There is zero effect on their bottom line. If you boycott every business that doesn't share your position you'll find yourself extremely limited in where you can shop. you'll miss great deals and sales and the only person you hurt is yourself.

For example... I hate NYC because of it's position on guns. But I'm not about to boycott them for my heart surgery when it's the best facility in the world. One friend once told me that although Muslims hate Jews they forget all about it when they need a triple bypass.

Best wishes on your heart surgery. (I didn't know you were a Muslim :jester: )

If you need cardiac surgery, consider the Cleveland Clinic -- we're a top-rated cardiac surgery center in a gun-friendly state. (I hope you are enjoying good health and your remark is just meant to illustrate a point.) Also, I can confirm your comment about Muslims turning to Jewish doctors. I've watched it happen for years.

Cheers,
Dr. Detroit
