Why gun sales spiked on Black Friday!

Why not for Christmas? I bought my wife her much beloved S&W .357 snubbie two years ago Christmas. She bought my AR-15 for me three years ago.

Although we DID get a chuckle out of the situation. Given that we might have invented a new one liner for the plethora of "You MIGHT be a redneck if....." jokes. (Doubly funny to us, she's from NC, I'm originally from Ohio.)

It IS an interesting statistic, however.

Here's a thought. If enough Amerians become gun owners, maybe it will frighten the hoplaphobes into staying home and end their constant whining and get them to mind their own business.

But, after years of observation, NOTHING really stops a convinced "butt-in ski" from efforting making ALL of us succomb to their misguided ideals. They have a "right" NOT to partake of the 2nd Ammendment's provisions. They do NOT have a "right" to try to make the rest of us follow their lead.

In the survey in the OP, the two questions asked about buying a gun for Christmas. The negative response was "No, Christmas is supposed to be about peace." What greater way to insure peace and tranquility than to be armed in a nation as dysfunctional as ours has become? I hope Santa knows where I live!

It is the dyslexic "attitudes" different factions of us have adopted that makes us disfunctional. We have no one to blame but ourselves. We let it get this way through years of inattention to our Government's workings while we pursued our personal version of "happiness".

I no less to blame than anyone else.

I thought it was all the extreame sales on guns at places like Bass Pro Shop, Calbela's, GT Dist., Sportsman Whaerehouse, ect..... Not to mention I heard some smaller gun shops were giving you a discount equal to your sales tax. So as a consumer it just made sence to get out and buy a gun on Black Friday, to me.

I didn't check for sure this year but that is buy a gun day in SC where there is no sales tax on guns that weekend. Does anyone know for sure? Since I wasn't buying a gun anytime soon I didn't verify it but normally it is no tax on guns.

I really like the way you think, OG...
