The antis are as aware of these things as us pro gunners. Their motive is not to make school children or anyone else safer. It is to disarm the American public.

The anti-gunners want to know WHY we need these kinds of guns? When these nuts come piling through your door, yeah we DO NEED these kinds of weapons!

They can call them "assault rifles" or anything they want! I need and I want as much fire power as I can get to protect my family.

The police need them! I want them too. I'm 61 and disabled. I can't fight them hand to hand. But I can shoot! I will shoot. They would too.

They can, and would, disarm us if they could. But that will not stop the nuts from attacking schools or malls or we "law abiding" citizens. All they will do is make it easier for them!

I spent 1.5 hrs emailing Senator Percy Malone (D) talking about "assault rifles". He asked me "Do you need a machine gun?" I said " If I could afford one. If it made my family safer. He!! yes!"

If the police need one to protect themselves, why shouldn't I have one to protect my family? They're not disarming the criminals. They're disarming the good guys! The tax paying, voting good guys!

People that ask "“Why do ordinary law-abiding people need those semiautomatic firearms with magazines that can hold more than ten cartridges?” Really do not want an answer.

What they are saying is. Look at me, I heard this on the news. I like them now understand that the Second Amendment is about hunting. So if you really want to waste your time arguing with them you are well. wasting your time.
They quote Billy BJ Clinton "Ahuk Ahuk You all doneed a AR15 to shoot a deer Ahuk Ahuk. Ax any hunter".
You might counter with why do you need a house over 1500 square feet. Followed with
If you think you have the right to tell me what firearms I am allowed to own, what is to stop the government from catering to special interest group from determining what size house is allowed. Big difference is the Constitution says I have the right to own guns. It doesn't say you have a right to own a house.

Very true and where I live and seconds count the police are only 20 min. away and the main road is only a mile in either direction.

I have two big guard dogs outside, 3 little noise maker scotties inside, an alarm system, outside solar motion lighting, a 9mm under the pillow, and my wife and I both keep a 12 gauge loaded with 00 Buck close by. As a back up we have a 308 w/ a 6 to 9 ready for long range work if need be.

So what are we afraid of?

Not a darn thing.

Why do I need a car with a tank over 5 gallons? It just enables law eluders to elude longer and endanger more people. Isn't 150 miles enough on one tank?

Good one and good point. You can play these word games with all types of machinary but the antis only talk about firearms.
