Bad guys often target "open carriers". Of course most of us know the "open carriers" as LEOs.

Actually bad guys target LEO's...whom also happen to be OC'ers. Big difference.

You misjudge the deterrence factor of CC. After all these years of carrying sometimes and sometimes not, the bad guys just don't know whether I am packing so they leave me alone.

This is true, an indirect deterrence for sure. But, the bad guys know I am carrying so they leave me alone as well. More of a direct approach to solving the problem.

It's our resident open carriers' way of saying, hey, we're tired of the OC bashing.

They really don't care if you carry concealed, they just want you to afford them the same respect.

And that would be an erroneous statement. We don't give a rat's butt about how you carry your gun. What we take exception of is the concealed carry only crowd who have one step inside the Brady Campaign Headquarters that can't resist coming to our forum and telling us how wrong we are for open carrying, calling us silly names like "Cowboy" and "Wyatt Earp", making unsubstantiated comments about the size of our genitals, and constantly spewing the same theorizies over and over again that have no factual evidence of ever happening in the real world. You want to tuck away your gun inside your pants, have at it, we could not care less about that.
