Who here shoots USPSA?

Pending something unforseen I am headed to the local USPSA club match in the morning. Anyone else here do any match shooting?

Don't limit yourself to just the USPSA. The IDPA and Steel Challange matches are a blast too. I have competed in all three of them. Sometimes I have good days and some days are not so good. A bad day on the range beats a good day anywhere else.

Hell yes. USPSA is a blast, you'll send a lot more rounds down range than IDPA but both are great fun.

Shot my first match yesterday, and loved it. Shot over 150 rounds on 5 stages with a group of 100 or so other competitors.

I'll see how I did later when the scores get posted.

My wife was with a fried at the Ladies Handgun League at another range the same day. She's gotta shoot USPSA, she'll love it, too, but already said she doesn't want to shoot my full sized Sig, and wants to shoot the compact. I'll take high cap mag over single stack any day. That's the nice thing about guns, fit to preference.

Wow, a hundred competitors. I wish our club would have a turnout like that! The most we have ever had was somewhere around the high 60's. What state do you compete in?

Yes. IDPA is a good time too. I have shot some 3-Gun and I am going to try Action Pistol this year. Of all of them, IDPA is my favorite. I am going to take the RO course this month with our club this month.

Wow, a hundred competitors. I wish our club would have a turnout like that! The most we have ever had was somewhere around the high 60's. What state do you compete in?

It was actually 115 competitors. We started at 10 AM, had a few showers that sped us up a little, and finished up around 3:30 PM. I was driving home by 4:30 PM. They're expecting more for the qualifying event next month.

The range is located in Creedmoor, NC, 15 miles North of Raleigh.

I live near Asheville... But shoot in Spartanburg....
USPSA is lots of fun.. IDPA is fun but it is tough getting used to the rule changes between the 2....

Where are you shooting at?

There is a range about 40 minutes here in a little suburb called Fruit Heights that butts up against the mountains. They have a county sheriff range that is used for public shooting and USPSA.

I do have to admit something, I ended up not going this month. It was windy and cold my desire to shoot was less than my desire to stay warm and asleep.
