WHITEOUT! Tell Us What's Happening In Your Area

BC1

,
Here we go again. I really hate living in the north. I dislocated my shoulder in December and need surgery so I'm not looking forward to snow removal again. Plowing, blowing, shoveling. Then some advil, a nice fire and a little Jonny Walker to ease that soreness.

So far the grass is a little white. I know what you mean about snow removal, the driveway runs dead north and south, and the wind is usually blowing!

Just came back in from getting the plows, loader and snow blowers ready. This should be interesting. There has already been some hysteria over it. I think I'll sit here by the fire watching TV until its time to plow

After the thunderstorms last night it's clear as a bell, sunny and warm for a winter day. Fine day for some target practice! :dance3:

About 8" in my driveway this morning. Took about 1.5 hours to clear it. Couple inches less at work, just a little clean up where our plow company did a crappy job.
Snowed again during the day, so will spend a bit cleaning the driveway again tonight when I get home, but not bad. Dig out to the back garage tomorrow for something to do in the morning. Nothing out there that has to move during the winter, so not a big deal.

South East of Buffalo here.
HEAVY WET CONSISTENCY OF CEMENT IN SNOW BLOWER.
Make sure you have extra sheer pins.

Gonna go out tonight and see Zero Dark Thirty
maybe we will be the only ones in the theater.

It's windy and cold here. I don't think it even think it hit 60 here this afternoon.

no snow

sorry my friend..no snow in south carolina..cool weather 45. but to help. I left north in 85.. been here now..29yrs..love the weather..NO MORE SNOW....maby a little, but it will not last the whole day....

22 degrees, 16 inches of snow, winds have subsided. Took my boder collie out to play in it last night. Just like a little kid. That dog goes nutso in the snow then lays in front of the fireplace. I swear the dog is gonna catch fire. I keep moving her farther back.

60 degrees here, dry and comfortable. Prediction is mid 70's for entire weekend.

Yup, Suffering the same miserable conditions here too........Bwahahahahaha.

I don't miss New England at all....Especially at times like this.

30 degrees and windy with just a small whiff of garbage in the air. In the summer it smells like strawberries because there's a strawberry farm across the road.

Was a little cold last 2 nights, clear skys earlier in the week. Shallow puddles froze a bit at night. Light rain off and on and lots of fog lately. Can find snow in the mountains and on the east side but not here in Seattle.

Good luck with the storm.

Well for days we kept hearing that people are gonna die from Super Storm Nemo.
BUT!
Thanks to the leadership of the Governors and the Mayors we were saved.
My oh my all you governors and mayor are such wonderful people Thank you thank you thank you.
We never could have survived with out you.
We really could not have survived without the people that stand behind you at press conferences looking so intelligent and caring.
Thank them too.
Thank you for the tips and instructions for surviving this killer storm.
I have no idea how many would have died without your leadership.

About 24 inches with drifts to 36, it took 8 hours to open the driveway, after getting stuck 4 times and breaking 2 plows.. I love the snow!

I think there's about 18" out there. Hard to say for sure because if drifting. Four hours of plowing and blowing. It's Miller time.
.
So I'm watching Bloomberg's press conference with my nephews, 8 and 10 years old, and there's a translator there doing sign language. One of the kids says hey uncle B, you know sign language, what's he saying? I laid it on thick. I told them the sign language lady is saying "don't listen to Michael Bloomberg. He's a rich bum and doesn't care about you. He lives in a penthouse. He pees sitting down. His moher didn't breast-feed him, etc."

The real funny thing is............ that your probably right!!

So what's next for you guys? Got all the snow here cleaned up, driveway pretty much bare. Good thing as on top of all the snow, they are now calling for rain this afternoon/evening. Going to be a fun drive to work in the morning. Boneheads can't remember day to day how to drive if the roads aren't clear and dry. Ice/snow mix should be fun.
