Whilst exercising our Second Amendment Rights today we found a patch of Leeks.

Oh Yeah.

Our Turkey Season starts tomorrow.
Hunt turkey till noon then dig up some wild leeks.
Western New York 2200 ft above sea level near Olean NY.

My wife calls them "ramps". She's from northern WV.

I think that if we happened across some she would be pretty excited too. She talks about "going up in the mountains" looking for them. (where she lived seems very much "up in the mountains" to me lol.

golocx4...My buddy has some property that we shoot at on Gooseneck rd (state rd 55 i believe) in Yorkshire. We just picked a bunch of leeks on sat. He just dropped off some potato leek soup at my house today...It must be a good year because the property has been in his family 40 years and for some reason there were leeks everywhere for the first time he can recall...

Come on ... Spit it out! I love leeks and substitute it for onions because hubby thinks onions make him fart. (sorry for my French.) I found that leeks is a good substitute.
