Guyer High School of Denton, Texas (and obviously several others) are complicit in attempting to condition students to interpret the 2nd Amendment in a clearly opposite manner in which it was intended.

This textbook, currently being used by Guyer High School, is attempting to redefine the Second Amendment to impressionable young minds. Parents, you must speak up and demand action. Investigate your child's history book ASAP, and post more pictures in the comments below. Call your school and demand that revisionist history books like this are removed from the school district.

This book has to be in circulation elsewhere also, visible to other students. Students looking for the truth, that is what schools are supposed to provide under their mandate from their stated education boards. Interpretations of documents are normally left to mind of individuals, that is how young minds are taught to think for themselves, this is a sure sign they are indoctrinating our young to follow the line, not teach them to be self thinkers, especially not seekers of truth.

This makes me boil. Can't stand the fact that this could happen in America even though I know it is but my state REALLY! I'm in central Texas, my wife is a teacher and I will be checking into this. I know this liberal BS has always been around in education but enough is enough.

Several years ago I googled the Bill of Rights. One of the links pointed to ACLU 's web site. I clicked on it and behold. They omitted the 2nd Amendment.
Lets see if they ever put it back in .

Most school systems are no longer in the business of education. Indoctrination is now the speciality of public education. They are in the business of producing ignorant little drones with virtually no critical thinking ability. When the citizens no longer understand their history, form of government, the Constitution or Bill of Rights they will not object when the progressives make them slaves of the collective. Citizens will never miss the liberty of which they were never aware. In fact the majority of our citizens are already in this condition. They've become slaves of a socialist government and appear to enjoy the condition in spite of the fact that their liberty has been diminished.

I graduated from Denton High School in 1953. Johnny Guyer, for whom Guyer High School is named, was our Assistant Principal and my baseball coach. He later became Principal when my Principal, A. O. Calhoun, died. Johnny Guyer died several years ago. He would be appalled to have his name dragged through the anti-gun mud. Let him rest in peace.

The principal of Durango High School, in Colorado, made this statement a few years ago: "The purpose of public schools is not education; the purpose of public schools is to promote social justice." Fortunately she is no longer the principal there.
