What's the worst POS firearm you have ever owned? (revisted)

Iver Johnson Sidewindere in 22lr -22mag Purchased 1977
First time I used it, about round #30 of .22 mag the barrel split half way down. I returned it to the dealer, who ordered another from Iver. This one lasted about a month before the case extractor fell off. The dealer told me he wasn't doing business with Iver anymore, and I was SOL. I still have this POS. I slept through the gun by backs the city offered a few years back. Hopefully, there will be another. Great way to get good cash for bad firearms.

Davis 32 ACP Derringer. Fired when it wanted to. I traded it in to a guy who said it had almost no trade-in value; he gave me $5 for it. I smiled & shook his hand. Knocked $5 off the price of a Beretta 21A.

Some Erma Copy of a Luger in .22LR. It Mis-Fired, Stove Piped, Extractor Broke, Grips Cracked, Shot 7 -8 inches to the Right @ 20 Feet.... You could Only Load 5 rounds in Magazine as the top round would POP out the top if you Loaded more.
We Finally Carried it In the Truck Just to Use as a "Throw-Away"..... (Back in the Day).

I'm going to have to say its my Pheonix .22 that I bought around the late 90's sometime. Field stripped it once and never got it back together right, and I've never had a problem getting anything else apart/together I've ever owned.

Grendel .380s - two of 'em. Got $50 each at a gun "buy back" program. Couldn't have given them away otherwise. Thanks government!

Had an AMT back-up in .380. Traded a nickel Colt King Cobra .357 for it at a gun show fifteen years ago. Ahhh, the stupidity of youth. Fired full auto 3 round burst, followed by two round burst, followed by a single every single time. Sent the gun back to AMT. When it came back to my local dealer, I traded it in on the spot towards a Delta Elite 10mm. Took a beating on that one, but I was getting smarter!!!!

Jennings 9mm. rough workmanship, mags don't seat all the way in, FTF, FTE, recoil spring fatigued so slide won't return fully and load next round. Extractor claw pin works it's way out, orange "cocked" indicator moves out too far and almost falls out. Will not fire a full mag because mags don't seat fully into grip, so next round does not get picked up.
Can't think of anything else at the moment, but I'm sure if I kept trying to fire it more things would go wrong. and I've only put about 50 rounds thru it. Better luck trying to throw it at some one.

Jennings 9mm.

Dude! Be careful with that thing. They're known for certain defects. I'd turn it in at the next gun buyback program. It's that bad!

Check out this news story where three people were hurt at a range due to one of those defects:
Three Hurt in Gun Range Accident | TheLedger.com

If the trigger gets pulled while the safety is on, then the safety is turned off, it could fire without touching the trigger, or when bumped. This has happened so often that Jennings 9mm pistols are banned in some states due to safety concerns.

At the moment a Ruger M77 Hawkeye. Only one I've ever sent back to the factory. In the past a Remington M 597 22 auto. It'd shoot 3 rounds and jam, shoot 3 and jam. Biggest waste of metal I've ever had my hands on.

A Walther P38. I picked it up used and basically gave it away. With normal factory ammo the slide would go back too far and jam. Got that fixed with a new main spring and then the ejector fell out. Fixed that and traded it in on something else, I think a black powder pistol. Never owned a Walther since, although I do understand that they are a worthwhile piece.

I stopped using the Jennings as soon as the slide stopped fully returning. That was years ago. I have no plans on trying to fire it or waste money trying to get it fixed, if any reputible gun smith would touch it.

Its a tossup between a jennings 9mm and a keltec 40 cal. the jennings always jammed (jamming jennings) and the keltec was just plain horrible. Ended up breaking it.

S&W SW40VE Sigma in .40 S&W. Worst trigger I've ever tried. Traded it back in pretty quickly.

I do have to admit that this pistol ran fine during the time I was trying it. There were no mechanical problems whatsoever. It is still the worst firearm that I have owned, however.

to all,

a River Arms 16 guage single barrel.= bought it at a garage sale, refinished the stock, for a truck gun (that i wouldn't care if it was stolen) & couldn't even find anyone, who would take it for free.
