It was not long ago when I would have dismissed most if not all of the conspiracies that are being put forth. Back in 2008 I would not believed we would be where we are today either. But with all that obummer and his minions have done and are doing, I have to wonder how much more is going on that we do not know. So now I always ask myself, "What if this is true!" before I dismiss any of these so called tin foil hat info! History has shown that in other countries many were killed or never heard from again because they refused to believe that their "wonderful and caring" gubment could EVER do anything bad.
I would rather be pleasantly surprised that our gubment is not doing anything bad than have a rude awaking just before I was shoved into the oven!
I do not mean to be aggressive about this, Uncle Fester, but if you trust anything that snopes.com says then you are being lead down the primrose path. Snopes.com is run by libs who have an agenda! They will not allow obummer or other libs be painted with tar!
You raise a good point (what if it really IS true) but I just can't convince myself to buy into it. Sure, I have a few just-in-case preparations made (for whatever silliness may happen) but the left wing staging a coup? Those mamma's boys who need warning labels on every single product in the store to protect themselves from doing something stupid? The one who are so scared of violence that they want to pass laws to disarm the good guys? I just can't see it. That sort of thing would require too much forethought and backbone. Neither of which are in high supply in the liberal camps (in my opinion).
If you want to scare me, tell me the Republicans are going to do it. I could just about see that happening.
Why don't you go see for yourself? There are websites out there listing grid coordinates of the camps. Punch it into Google maps, find the nearest one and drive out there. Keep an open mind and look around for facts. Don't stop as soon as you see a chain link fence with a lock on it and decide it must be true. The folks who are dropping those links are searching "Google Earth" for ominous looking places. Don't let 'em fool you.
What's nice about snopes is that they usually provide their sources, so you can do a quick check to see what their slant is, if they've got one.
Which is why they are head and shoulders above so many other websites out there that are spreading ...information. I've read stuff on their site that described things I am expert in and they were always right on the nose (or as close as a layman is likely to get). I still double check things but I will often look there first. Since I knew that some would claim snopes.com may be part of the plot I went ahead and included the other two links that haven't been mentioned. I really liked the one from Popular Mechanics Magazine. I was surprised to see that one turn up when I "Googled" FEMA camps.
You can find links and write-ups that argue for both sides, sometimes vehemently, and I just wanted to supply a bit of fresh air and a chance for some to see what other people out there think of these tales.
I doubt if anyone will read them, let alone believe any of it ...but I figured I'd give it a shot.
I just want people to think for themselves.
I also want to punch rumormongers in the throat. If you can't make your point with truth then shut the **** up and go home.
I'm a boyscout. Sue me.
