Purely hypothetical, but I am too old and have come too far to back down now. I have always believed that we have to define a line we will not traverse; a point at which we would rather go down than bend knee, whether to authorities or our own frail mortality.

I think everyone knows that if in fact this order was ever given then the life as we know is now over or soon to be over. For crying out loud there are hundreds of millions of guns in this country, with as many gun owners. The government NO doubt knows that when or if confiscation starts they will only retrieve only a small fraction of the fire arms before the rest of the country becomes aware of it. To answer the question I would do nothing that would jeopardize the safety to my wife and son, by myself it's friggin on. We can't fight the government one on one, but in numbers we can kick their ass unless they decide to nuke us that is.

What jack booted thugs? Who exactly is going to come knocking and how long do you expect that to last? Despite lots of publicity on the bad eggs, the overwhelming majority of cops still believe in the 2nd amendment. I'm really curious to see how that day is actually going to go, because there isn't simply a horde of gestapo waiting in the wings to enforce this ban. It might even be somewhat entertaining.

I really have a problem finding my firearms. Not sure if a cleaning person or repair person took them. Since it was not necessary to let local police know my serial numbers of anything concerning my firearms, there did not seem to be a mechanism for letting anyone know anything. I can tell you however, as a Jew, that if that **** in the whitehouse and his goons come to my house and demand anything from me, including "moving my family to a nice camp in Idaho", I will surely give a better look for one of my firearms and still know where some very sick looking SOG hatchets and knives are----someone will go to hell before I go to heaven.

Keep kosher my brother. We won't be marching into the death camps twice. Too many people in this country don't realize we had concentration camps for Japanese Americans except we called them internment camps. Much better marketing.

You actually think they would come and try a hard target (one that isnt scared crapless like you seem to be) instead of some some soft target that will lay down and pee themselves when they show up? You dont seem to be able to fathom that some of us are much better trained, have better body armor (among other not so nice items as well) and arent in it just for a paycheck? We are fighting for our very lives here, not some pieces of metal and wood..... and we will do ANYTHING to be the victors.... So, choose which house they are coming to first here... mine or yours?
Why do some people think it is funny to say "lost them in a horrible boating accident" or whatever? Do you actually think for even one millisecond that saying that will magically take your name off of some list?

Did you even TRY to understand what I was driving at? I’ll spell it out for you: I am not the enemy. I am on your side. Granted I’m not as overtly militant as you seem to be and I’m not wasting time flexing my e-muscles in gun forums but were ARE on the same side.
I’m just not bragging and advertising so that “they” can bring the fight to my doorstep. If I decide to fight it will be when and where *I* choose and it will come without warning.
Don’t brag to me about your training or your body armor, Mr. hard target. There’s always going to be someone else with better of both and equipment that can defeat both. Being a Rambo only works in the movies.
Don’t believe everything you hear on talk radio. This fight will be won with our brains, and our votes, not our trigger fingers. Being hyper militant is a good way to scare those on the fence over to the other side. Those timid little sheep are the ones we need to bring into the fold and teach and nurture until we get them voting on our side.
The liberals are playing hardball with our rights and we need to beat them at their own game. Any other method and we end up looking like the bad guys and giving them more supporters.
Sure, keep up your training and keep your gear handy. Maybe if it all goes South in the worst way imaginable you might need it. But if we use our brains and fight with votes and courtrooms it won’t come to that.
If you really want to support the cause, donate to the NRA …often.

The certifications on my wall say that I'm absolutely certain of that. I'm a certified tech nerd these days.
All I really want to do is stop John Q. Public from bothering me. Uncle Sam already knows all about me. I've been on file with them ever since I wore a uniform all those years aga. But thanks for warning just the same.
