What the story on FROGLUBE what do you think of it?

we may give froglube a try and see how it works out.
if you have used it please chime in on what you think of it.

Pretty good stuff ,it was recomended to me for synthetic guns ! I like it you don't need a lot on the surface and when the pcs. gets warm to hot if melts all around ,so don't use aqlot of it . Never had any problems and smell nice .

Just read a post on another site. They stated that they were trying the Froglube for the first time. Their results were good overall
but they noted that after so many rounds and the Froglube "sweating", that it cools and hardens again (kinda' like bacon grease). They also noted that while sweating, that it seeped into all the little places. That's good right? That's what I thought but they also stated that carried all of the shooting residue into the small areas where it thickened when it cooled, keeping the grime in the hard to get to areas. I was excited to try the product but now I'm wanting to do some more research.

noted that after so many rounds and the Froglube "sweating"---yes it does if you put it on to heavy (I don't put it on that thick)
that it cools and hardens again (kinda' like bacon grease) --- yep
They also noted that while sweating, that it seeped into all the little places. That's good right?--- I think so
keeping the grime in the hard to get to areas.--- it wipes off so easy it's silly, tooth brush and a cloth is all I use.
Hope this helps

I'd like to try it. However, I am concerned what the heat would do to my Talon grips since heat is needed.

You don't have to use heat, it it will just take a extra cleaning or two to be 100%.
You get (so I have been told) the same effect if you clean it with froglube then shoot, I guess the shooting warms it up.
(PS) I never did the heat thing.

I just cleaned and lubed this weapon because I shot it today but it has about 4-5 coats of hard turtle wax on it. It is waiting on a set of custom ivory scrimshaw grips from Bone trading. Link Removed
To complete its customization. What do you think?

I'm trying my first use of FL on my EDC. I haven't made it to the range yet, but I'll post results. Initial cleaning and lube went very well (used wife's hair dryer to heat the field stripped parts). I've also applied it to my EDC knife with good results. So far, so good. And I haven't heard any complaints about the minty smell, as opposed to Hoppe's #9, which isn't loved by my family as much as I love it!
