What kind of flashlight do you carry for EDC?/How do you carry it?

Streamlight polytac LED, 120 lumens. Plenty of light for me, I can cleary see out to at least 100 yards on the darkest night. Although it would be nice to have a low mode for it, because if you use it for utility or trying to find something its a bit too bright... for me at least. For the price I couldn't beat it, think it was around $35. Overall very satisfied. I just throw it in my back pocket beside my wallet.

"it is better to have a gun and never need it, than to need a gun and not have it"
so along that line of reasoning if we were expecting a fight...
A. we would avoid the area
B. we would carry a lot more fire power

We do not arm for or plan on battle but it is far better to be prepared for that contingency if necessary.... 20 20 hind sight is great if you survive to give it thought....

Your logic leads to the conclusion that one should never go out with less than an M-1 Abram and a rifle company of Marines. Anything less than this may not meet your needs when assaulted by an entire gang armed with automatic rifles. However your first point is entirely correct and effective. I carry a flashlight to find my way out of a store or room when the lights go out and I carry a gun to protect myself from the lone assailant or two that might try to mug me. I am retired, live in a rural community and can pick where I go. I avoid bad places. My Stylus Pro will get me out of a dark place and back to my car. As somebody stated earlier in the post, sometimes a really bright light is just too much for the purpose.

From what I hear/all the research I have done on the light it seems to be a outstanding light.

Tis why I chose the Itac strobe to disorient and crazy bright when you need it, several lower settings for when you only need to find your car keys in the dark.
N my years experience has taught me that bad things tend to find you when least expected, although none of us willingly choose to go into harms way, it finds us on occasion. Be safe.

Nebo CSI edge 35 lumens impact bezel I just clip it to my belt very inexspensive waterproof $10 I use to carry a Streamlight Strion LED too bright for the movie theatre too heavy for my suit

I keep and LED Laser (Bought at Lowes) in each car and one in Maxpedition. If I am out at night, the light goes in a pocket.

Remember, they always shoot the guy with the light first!

Nebo redline. 220 lumens. Strobe, s.o.s, 3 stage brightness, flood to spot, water proof, 3 triple a's. Awesome light! Best part is it costs $20 bucks!

I carry for my EDC lights, an XTI-1 Procyon weapon light for my SIG P229. I carry it on a BLACKHAWK! belt mag/light carrier. But I also have a surefire P9Z 128 lumens flashlight that i carry in my pocket. I follow the 2 is 1, 1 is none principal of thought.
