what is everyones prefered personal defense ammo in 9mm.?

I finally got my Spingfield XDM 4.5 in 9mm. It's my first CCWeapon.

9mm carry ammo

For 6 years I carried Corbon Pow'r Ball 100 grain. +P. I think it was like 1475fps & 483ft/lbs. I tested them and liked there expansion. But recently I have been carrying the new Guard Dog rounds by federal. They are 105 grain 1230fps & 355ft/lbs. I tried them because they are different they look full jacketed with almost a wad cutter tip. But there internally pre cut and filled with a blue rubber substance that forces full expansion kinda like the powerball but a lot more effective in my opinion. I tested them last month in balis gel and got 13" penetration with full mushroom and IMPRESSIVE expansion on all 20 rounds I shot. I shot some powerball just to compare and out of 20 rounds 13 of em stripped the jacket completely off and I really didn't get the expansion I did a few years ago and they might as well been hard ball compared to the guard dogs. Not sure if I just got a bad box or what but the Pow'r ball is a lot hotter of a round. As a bonus I put them in my girls LC9 carry piece and she said "oh how pretty and Is a werewolf gonna attack me?" because the guard dog from the case to the tip is almost silver in color. So far they have fed flawlessley in every 9mm I've got the LC9, SR9c, glock 26, Walther p99, SIG P226, Para carry 9 and a Springfield EMP. I thought because of the Flat tip I might have some FTF's but not a single one even in my little 1911s the para and EMP. Penetration only dropped under 12" with the LC9 and that was still only once out of 6. Wow sorry didn't mean to write that much but I really like the guard dogs.

Hornady Critical Defense or Speer Gold Dot. Gold Dot is my primary, but CD is a close 2nd.
