Dillon, the Blue Press, had a letter to them a few months ago. It was about the made in China issues. Dillon, a very great supporter of the NRA ($10.00 to new NRA members for joining) stated that the need to compete in this global market compelled folks to have stuff made in China. I always check made in ____. I do what I can, I complain to the Hired Help and to the stores but for now it is the way of businesses. Even Dillon has products made in the ChiComs country. Keep looking, as I do, for the country of origin and pressure all the folks you are able to demand made in the USA.

Also realize, the NRA is a single issue organization. Many of the members may share conservative views but the organization itself is only focused on the Second Amendment. This is what makes it effective. Democrats are interested in the support of the NRA and they know the NRA will support them so long as they support the Second Amendment.

In 2010, if all of the NRA's Endorsed candidates had won, the democrats would have retained control of the House of Representatives.

Other organizations are not as effective as they always tow the party line. It doesn't matter what a Republican does for minorities, the NAACP will never endorse them. Similarly, a Republican can be as pro-labor as he wants but there is no way the AFL-CIO will endorse them. When votes for their issues are in the legislature; they always split along party lines.

It's always been amazing to me why the republicans take any advice from the democrats on what they, the republicans, should do to win elections. Do democrats really want republicans to win elections? Are democrats going to go campaign for republicans if they jump on the democrat band wagon? Wake up republicans and stop taking advice from the enemy.

Did you join just for the hat? Perhaps you expect the NRA to spend $20 on the hat, and $5 shipping for your $25 membership fee? Find what you consider to be a "quality" hat elsewhere.... check that outlet that spends more money on gun rights, than any other lobby group.

I think sir, that you're over-reacting.

My thoughts...not surprising.

Then again I have no problems with buying from other countries...what do you expect business to do in America when they get punished for doing well?

We Americans (along with the entire world) are to blame for the made in China products here. We demanded low prices; very low prices. This is only possible in a country where the government subsidizes shipping to the entire world, child labor is used, and worker pay is not enough to survive on, factory shifts are brutal, workers live in the factory, and are subject to squalid conditions that we would not sentence our own pets to.

Add the deathly fog of horrendous pollution, and toxic chemicals not legal here for industrial production, and we get what we want at low prices, at the price of human suffering/sickness/chemical poisoning and suicide in China.

Just look at all the big box stores waving the flag, yet selling wares made in China or other third world countries.

We are buying these goods so we are to blame, as well.

Fact is that we are now a global economy. The reason that hat was made in China is that it cost too much to make it here. Just a fact. I TRY like hell to buy American, including the new car I just got, even though I could have gotten a really loaded import for what the cost of the MKZ.
My biggest objection to Chinese products is that their quality is piss-poor. I wish that someone would consolidate reports of all of the Chinese "recalls" of poor products from deadly wallboard in homes to pet food killing our pets. Hell, the mothers in Beijing buy AMERICAN baby food and toys for their babies because THEY don't trust the quality of the Chinese Brands. At least according to CBS, I believe it was.
While I TRY to save money I have reached the age where I am sick and tired of buying a cheaper product to save a few bucks, THEN turn around and spend the extra money on the product I SHOULD have purchased when the cheaper one broke!

I love stuff made in China! Mostly the SKS, Type 56 pattern AK, T53 Mosins, Tokarevs, etc...
