What Do You Carry?

i carry a glock 29

Oh wow another 10mm guy! Cool!! Aren't very many of us due to price and availability of the ammo. I'll bet that G29 has a pretty snappy recoil doesn't it? Do you reload your practice rounds? I am seriously considering getting into reloading.

Glock 30, Taurus PT92 and CW9. I see a lot of autos on the list. I had a discussion yesterday with an older gentleman who was on armed guard duty at the bank. He said he wouldn't carry an auto. He was carrying a 6 shot 38 special with one spare speed loader. That's 12 rounds total. I commented that I have more rounds or 45ACP in just one mag than he had of 38 on his person...AND...I had 2 more spare mags. He couldn't really argue other than just saying he didn't trust autos.

Personally, I don't own a revolver and don't really feel I NEED one. I would like a Glock 21 to keep my G30 company.

No i have thought about reloading but i just don't know enough about it. I have heard you can really mess your gun up if you aren't careful. But the G29 have a nice recoil on it but its less than i thought, i love it!! Just got a Sig P250 today I can't wait to go shoot it tomorrow.

An accidental double load is about the only thing that could KB a gun. A good progressive press will go a long way in eliminating that. Using a bulky powder will also help because if you double charge, it will overflow and you'll easily see the mistake. Powers like Bullseye are less bulky and it's harder to catch a double load. A progressive press makes it pretty difficult to double charge. In order to double charge a case, you would have to pull the handle again without advancing the shall plate and inserting a new case. This action would de-prime a live primer, which can and will set off the primer, which isn't end of the world, but it's enough to get your attention.

I carry a Springfield compact XD-45 for my primary and a Kel-Tec P3AT as my BUG.

JEEZ XD! This is the most exciting thing I've seen for a long time!

I wonder how we'd go about making that a federal law? No way anyone in assachusetts would ever introduce that to the legislature, so we'd have to go over their heads to Washington. But not for the next four years, lol.

glock 30 (in generic belt slide holster strong side, til i get the money for a better one)
surefire E1L (weak side clipped bezel down under my belt)
CRKT M16-12Z folder (strong side pocket)
cell phone

looking to add OC (pepper spray), maybe a set of cuffs and spare mag holders... pics will follow when i get my digital camera charged and get back from work...

I don't carry. My Massachusetts "License to carry" doesn't allow me to (grrr...).

But when i lived in VA, it was usually a taurus .357 snubbie.
