What Caliber of Ammunition Do You Use in Your Every Day Carry?

The proper ammunition for the firearm I have that day.

Right now, my EDC goes between Jericho 941 in .40 SW and a Sig p238 .380 ACP.

I generally carry .380 caliber ammo just loose in my pocket since it won't fit my .45. I tried to carry it in my EDC, but it kept falling out. What the smell kind of survey is this? You carry the same caliber as the gun you're carrying, or at least most of us do!

I carry a 1911 as my main gun, so it's .45ACP for me. I load my own: Hornady XTP 230g. bullets, CCI primers, and Red Dot or Bullseye powder, with whatever brass I can scrounge up. My backup gun is a Baby Browning; I carry Hornady .25ACPs in it. I don't shoot it often enough to reload for it.

40 S&W hornady c defense, but it packs a punch when I wrap my hand around it and hit the primer with the other. Aim is a little sketchy though.;) sorry couldn't resist glock 22 or 27 depends on the clothes.

I voted 40sw. But, I usually carry a 45. (Sometimes a 40) More recently I've been getting a bit lazy. So, right now I only have a 380 in my pocket. (Btw, I would have voted 380acp if I had realized nobody voted that.)

wHILE A YOUNGER MAN, i CARRIED 45ACP...AND ON OCCASION.357, BUT IN GENERAL ALWAYS FELT THE BULK OF ANY REVOLVER UNSUITABLE FOR IWB.

THE YEARS HAVE BROUGHT ON SEVERE ARTHRITIS AND EVEN THE BLOWBACK .380S CAUSE LINGERING PAIN FOR 2-3 DAYS IN HANDS... BY WAY OF MY DOCTOR I WAS TOLD TO TRY A LOCKED BREECH PISTOL WITH A LOW-CENTERED BARREL. MORE.TO THE POINT...WOUND UP WITH WALTHER PPS .... THE GENTLEST OF ANY I EVER TRIED....IF ANYONE KNOWS OF ONE THAT DELIVERS AN EVEN MORE GENTLE RECOIL I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE THE INFO......
I will add that the PPS seems lighter in recoil than most 380's I've tried....with the exception of the Walther PK380 (which I believe is of locked breech type , but its still 'about' the same perceived recoil as the PPS...SO I'm sticking with the big brother for about equal recoil...
