Yesterday, Attorney General Darrell McGraw signed a concealed handgun reciprocity agreement with the State of Alaska. This brings the total number of reciprocity agreements to 18.

Alaska is one of two states (Vermont is the other) that do not require a license to carry a handgun, either openly or concealed. However, Alaska does have a nondiscretionary, shall-issue licensing system to allow Alaska residents to obtain a permit for reciprocity purposes when traveling to most other states.
