Our resident trolls have been here for a long time and will probably hand on forever. They are like a venerial disease that is antibiotic resistant.
If you think about it, they may be a good thing. They are the cold splash of water that keeps us awake and aware that we need to fight, that we can't be complacent.
It's just too bad that they are more like a cold splash of diarrhea.

I'm as Liberal as they come, but I won't try to swing you toward the typical Liberal viewpoint on this one. I like to think of myself as a COMPLETE Liberal as in the liberal application of 2A rights.

I want to apologize. I wronged twice and now I am paying for it. I affirm that this will not happen a 3rd time should it be changed to allow a 3rd time.
Again, I apologize but I have seen the error in my judgement and now I am paying for it.
To feel cleansed of my errors, I am now a payed supporter of NRA and fully embrace 2A.
I am signed up for firearm safety classes to start soon, heading to my first Gun Show tomorrow: 9AM and will have a firearm in my possession in a very short time.
While I cannot change my past actions, I can change them going forward and I start by saying: I am sorry.

Liberal democrat here, we aren't all anti-gun. In fact I'm fighting every chance I get to keep our 2A rights.
I agree that most liberals and democrats are anti-gun, not all of them are. On gun rights, I'm right there with you guys/gals. I usually end up getting shunned from both sides when it comes to gun rights, but I'm trying.
Been carrying for many years and fighting the good fight. Again, we may not all agree on other issues, but for gun rights... I don't want bans and limitations on what we already have. To me that seems stupid.

Believe me, I am totally against him on his view of firearms.
However, right now we need numbers. We need people fighting for gun rights, not bans. Now's not a time to nit pick and shun people. If you want gun rights, we take what we can get. I'm sure there's some personal view that you have that I don't agree with, but lets try to keep on topic of firearms.

Sounds like on 2A we agree but I must say that many here on this forum warned and told you and others that if you voted for obummer that banning guns would be # 1 on his agenda. I know many who said that it would not happen because the US Constitution protected our gun rights. We tried to tell you libs that since when has any law, rule or the US Constitution has EVER mattered to people on the left. They have always cherry picked what they will follow and omit what they do not like.
So while I welcome you to our cause I also will blame you and others like you for helping cause this assault on the 2A. We were right about what obummer would do on the 2A so maybe you should open your eyes and ears to other things we Conservatives and TEA Party people have been warning and trying to STOP!!!!!
I have been against obummer from day one! Many have said to me that I am against him because he is black. They could not be more wrong! I have been against obummer from day one because he was from Chicago politics! Nobody and I mean NOBODY in Chicago politics rises to the top unless they are crooked and dirty. I was born and raise in Illinois and I know what I am talking about. Google how many Illinois politicians have been convicted. Most have been from Cook county or some of the surrounding counties. There has been 4 governors that has served time or are still in prison. So if you and everyone else hooked yourself to obummers star then you will deserve everything that you get from obummer. The problem is that the rest of the country will get what we have been warning everyone about.
@vernsimpson Unfortunately there's no way to predict the future or choose someone for any office that exactly fits my views while also fitting yours. It just simply will never happen. They all have agendas and try to appeal to the broadest audience.

I didn't simply take a stance on one topic and vote for the guy that agreed with me. It's very complex, sadly Obama doesn't agree with me on firearms. I've written my state reps, a few times, and made sure to check the box that includes a copy to the President.

Where I come from, we call that hypocrisy. You are either for the constitution or against it. You can't be a 2A supporter and be an Obamabot at the same time. All you are doing is the same thing Obama and his brainless minions are doing and that is "cherry picking" the constitution as you see fit. The constitution is to be followed as it is written, not as some self absorbed, elitist tyrant like Obama chooses to interpret, mold, and pervert it to suit his agenda. There is no compromise on this matter.

I'll admit, I'm deeply confused. I mentioned that I fully support the liberal application of 2A rights, didn't I? I thought that was what this site was all about, the ability to carry by responsible, law-abiding citizens. The fact that I'm a Liberal has nothing to do with that except that I am different than most Liberals.
I also think that the fact that I have held a full-time job while spending 31 years in the military (and counting) and served 2 deployments gives me the right to tell you to STFU. By the way, 1SG (Top) is E-8 not E-6. Get your facts straight or, again, STFU.
