A couple of years ago during a pro-gun/anti-gun discussion I presented several recent examples of people who were very effective mass-murderers while using knives, blunt objects, automoblies, arson, and home-made explosives. Not a firearm in sight in any of the examples I provided, yet the body counts were still impressive (for lack of a better word). The gun may be the weapon of choice for some nut-jobs but it's hardly the only choice. Where there's a will there's a way and those people probably would have died by some other means had the perp not had access to a firearm.
